After meeting a guy at Starbucks we started chatting on Facebook and decided to meet. He was the most self-centered person I ever met and he kept talking about this house in Malibu he was going to buy. I left after 15 minutes.

Aftermath:  He continued to text me for 2 weeks straight. I ignored him.

He’d send me a text telling me he was horny and asking me if I was, then apologize because he respected me too much to do that… only to text me the same thing an hour later.

Aftermath: After ending it and receiving several sad, whiny drunk texts, I sent him a long series of messages detailing exactly why I didn’t think we would work out. I haven’t heard since.

We went out once. He Facebooked friended me that same day. I didn’t hear from him again for, oh, a month, so I thought it was safe to assume neither of us was particularly interested. I unfriended him. A day later, he refriended me and asked me why I unfriended him.

Aftermath: It was a non-starter. I haven’t responded to the friend request. I think it will stay that way.

We went on two dates. After the second one, on public transit heading to our respective homes, he tried to convince me to go home with him. I wasn’t sure I liked him all that much, so I said no. He then proceeded to talk dirty to me the last few stops. We had barely even kissed. Ew.

Aftermath: I stopped answering the phone for a few days, so I don’t know if he called.

We had been dating off and on for a year, and he was moving to a different state. To say good-bye, he showed up at my work with a present: A vibrating pen that made squiggly lines that he stole from his niece. He told me to think of him every time I “used” it… as a sex toy.
