“AIM I Love You”

weird

One of the most important things for me in all my relationships is to say “I love you” when we’re saying goodbye. It started because my parents always said “I love you” every night at bedtime. When my first boyfriend neglected to return the usual “I love you” before signing off AIM, it was over.

Aftermath: Lasted a few weeks longer. Ironically, I ended up meeting his father and making a very good impression even though I already knew it was over.

Anytime a Girl says “I love you” out of the blue that’s always the sign of a crazy, and your story basically proves it. You have such strong mommy-daddy issues that you demand people tell them they love you even if they don’t and get so upset when they don’t.

Get a grip before you get a boyfriend.

If you’re forcing it, it’s never going to be natural, but it sounds like you use ‘I love you’ as just a sign off and devoid of any real meaning anyway. Like the other commenter, I think your boyfriend dodged a bullet with you.

It just sounds like you’re really young. Not that there’s anything wrong with you. You’ll grow out of it.

And Chelate, saying “I love you” spontaneously doesn’t make anyone crazy. If I’m thinking about something and it makes me realize how much I really do love my boyfriend, I will call him and tell him. He does the same thing. That’s not crazy, that’s affectionate.
