“Smells like Trouble”

best of quirks

She turns to me after we finish having sex and said, “You don’t have a smell, and having a guy smell is very important to me.”

—Steve-o

Aftermath: I laughed and said I could either fart more or shower. To this day have no freaking clue what she was talking about. We kept hooking up until she starting seeing another guy, who I assume had whatever smell she was looking for.

Smell has been an important factor to many women i’ve been with. I’ve also read that they have a keener sense of smell than men do and that the way one person smells to another is somewhat of a shortcut for detecting chemistry.

Also, it should be considered and discussed whether she was a smoker, since it’s a well-known fact that tobacco smoking inhibits olfactory sensitivity, and minimizes smokers ability to smell and appreciate odors, e.g. good food, cologne/perfume, flowers, b.o., whatever.

That is why some people claim smoking can also help minimize appetite because food doesn’t smell so strong or appetizing, and those smokers who quit often report they are amazed at how fast their sense of smell recovers, and how good and irresistible all foods smell and TASTE thereafter (promoting over-eating and weight gain, unfortunately, if those claims are true). If she was a daily smoker, no wonder she was missing out on how good, or natural her lovers might actually have been smelling. Her loss.

smell is actually VERY important although ive never heard of a lack of smell being the problem but rather just the oposit.

You mean “whatever smell she was sniffing for”. Maybe eating garlic or more red meat would’ve helped.
