“Effortless Valentine’s”
I knew it was over when I gave him a simple gift and card for Valentine’s (our first) and he gave me nothing. He has done nothing to make up for it.

Wow… That’s a bit hard. I don’t like the commercialism of valentines day. But I trust there were other issues and not just valentines day. I do agree that your partner does have to make an effort though. Perhaps touching or quality time together is more important to him, whereas your love language may be gifts?
