“Bipolar love story.”

weird

The day before Holy Saturday (Catholic boy here), we got into some heavy groping and nearly had sex at the place she was interning at. She called me on Tuesday and flipped out on me. She was diagnosed as bipolar and told me she didn’t like to take her medicine.

Aftermath: She stalked me over the internet and begged me to get back together with her two years after this happened. No thanks. I know women are psycho at times, but she was beyond the acceptable levels

Sorry you had an unfortunate experience with this girl. I just wanted to point out to people who read your story that, although the girl was diagnosed as having bipolar disorder, that wasn’t the reason itself for her bizarre behavior. You did hit the nail on the head in your story, however. Her refusal to take her medication is to blame. Having bipolar disorder just means the chemicals in one’s brain don’t function correctly. Mental illnesses are MEDICAL conditions like, for example, diabetes. And, just like anyone else with a medical condition, a person has to take the prescribed medication to keep the symptoms in check. Someone with diabetes who doesn’t take their medication risks coma and death! Hey- I get it- when people act bizarrely, it’s scary, but not all people who have a mental disorder are “psycho’s”. I know you were just telling about your experience with this girl and I don’t feel you necessarily did it in a mean-spirited way. I just feel that people with mental diseases will continue to be misjudged and stigmatized until more of the general public becomes educated about the facts.

I am trying to figure out how almost having sex on “the day before Holy Saturday” (which would be Good Friday btw) has anything to do with the story.
