We were at a bar with friends. A young, attractive French man was showing interest in me. Later that night, when I asked my boyfriend if the incident made him jealous, he looked me in the eyes, and, with all seriousness replied, “No.”

    That’s silly, my fiance tells me bluntly that he doesn’t get jealous when other guys show interest in me because ‘why shouldn’t other guys show interest in me’. The only way he would get jealous is if I started acting like I was going to ask the other guy out on a date. Regardless, this is a silly reason to break up with a guy because a guy who is jealous if another guy shows interest in you is insecure.

    So… this could also be read as he trusted that you wouldn’t jump every hot guy that flirted with you. Then you tried to provoke him about it. When he didn’t go for the bait and start some drama, you dumped him. He’s good to be rid of you.
